Tide Blanks Rebs For Softball Sweep
With the win the Crimson Tide improved to 26-4 overall and 6-2 in Southeastern Conference play. The Rebels fell to 12-16 on the season and 1-10 in league action.
Kelsi Dunne (12-0) went the distance for Alabama, allowing just one hit en route to the complete game shutout. The sophomore was perfect through four innings, earning her eighth shutout on the season behind seven strikeouts.
Charlotte Morgan drove home all three runs and extended her hitting streak to a career best 16 games. The All-America provided the big blow in the seventh when she drove in two on an RBI double to right-centerfield.
Alabama will return to Tuscaloosa for a midweek contest against nearby Samford on Wednesday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m.
