Phillip Sims: Diary

"What's up Alabama fans?"

"Today I wanted to talk about when I first started playing football and what all is going on in my life right now."

"I started playing football when I was around nine years old. I grew up watching local high school quarterbacks like Ronald Curry, Allen Iverson, Aaron Brooks and Michael Vick. Those were some of the guys I grew up watching and trying to model my game after."

"The Alabama coaches are staying in close contact with me. Coach Sal [Sunseri] came up to my school last week and talked to my coach. Coach Mac [Jim McElwain] plans on coming up to the school soon as well."

"I recently attended a Nike camp, and I was invited to participate in the Elite 11 Quarterback camp in California. I was the first quarterback invited this year."

"I just want Bama fans to know that I can't wait to put on that crimson and white and start winning championships."
