Standing at 6-2 and weighing 220lbs, Cade "Strong Leg" Foster has been rated by many as the No. 1 kicker in the nation. He has also proven his worth as a middle linebacker, leading the Dragons with 76 tackles in 2008.

Playing for one of the premiere football programs in the country, Southlake Carroll, Cade has proven that he can handle the pressure of kicking on one of high school football's biggest stage, including games at Texas Stadium and SMU. But what can Crimson Tide fans expect from Cade Foster when he arrives in Tuscaloosa in 2010?

Cade has the attributes to transcend into one of the greatest kickers to have stepped foot on Bryant-Denny. He has features that are rarely found in high school kickers. His athletic ability, powerful leg, and mental capacity only reinforce my prediction.

Cade's powerful leg is his biggest strength. I'm confident he will emerge as the Tide's kickoff specialist as a true freshman.

In 2007, 70-percent of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks. After watching his highlight film, I'm convinced he will have a number of big hits after he sends the ball down the field.

His size will prove as a valuable asset on the Tide special teams unit. Cade's athletic ability combined with his no-fear attitude will give the Tide a luxury they haven't had in past years, an extra cover man on the kickoff cover unit.

A smooth, consistent kickoff approach delivers high, deep kicks that routinely sail through the end zone. Cade will eventually develop a reputation as a kickoff returner's worst nightmare.

As for field goals, Cade has proven he's calm, cool, and collected. He's made a number of big kicks for the Dragons. Cade had an unprecedented 55-yard range on field goals as a sophomore.

In 2008, he made the transition for the 2" kicking block down to the 1" and didn't miss a beat. Cade has impressive get off times (snap to kick). His technique on field goals could use some work, as he often falls off to the left upon contact.

In 2003, when I arrived at the Capstone I had many of the same technique issues. After working with Alabama's fine kicking specialist, this concern will be a distant memory. You can always coach technique and clear up any technicalities within weeks. It's much harder to replicate Cade's size, athletic ability, and powerful leg.

I have spoken with many avid followers of Southlake Carroll football and our predictions coincide, Cade Foster has all the attributes to become a successful college kicker.

Over the years, Southlake Carroll has developed some of the country's finest football talent. They have developed a reputation as the breeding ground for college football's elite.

I'm confident with hours of hard work and the proper training Cade Foster will emerge as the next Dragon who will be added to the list of college football's greats.
