Poll Worthy

The SEC is the only conference in the nation to have all of its teams ranked at least one week in the Associated Press top 20 (excluding preseason polls) since 1997-98. Simply stated, every SEC team has been a top 20 team nationally at one point in the last five-plus seasons.

Other Conferences Can't Match SEC's Record

No other conference can match the SEC's record of consistency in having all its conference members ranked in the polls.

Here's a look at the other major conferences and their teams who have not achieved an AP top 20 ranking over that span:

ACC 7 of 9 Georgia Tech, N.C. State

Atlantic 10 6 of 12 Dayton, Duquesne, Fordham, LaSalle, Richmond, St. Bonaventure

Big East 10 of 14 Providence, Rutgers, Villanova, Va. Tech

Big Ten 9 of 11 Northwestern, Penn State

Big 12 7 of 12 Baylor, Colorado, Kansas State, Nebraska, Texas A&M

Conference USA 6 of 14 Charlotte, East Carolina, Houston, St. Louis, South Florida, Southern Miss, Tulane, UAB

Pac-10 7 of 10 Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington State
