Why Alabama: "I think it's one of the best schools in the country. It will be the best school for me. It will help me to be more succesful in life. I will have more and better opportunities. I will have a lot of resources to be successful. I had chills down my body when coach Saban offered me. I was happy. I was excited. At that point it was the place where I would like to go. I thought about it a couple days. I talked to Josh Chapman. I figured it would be a great experience to go down there. I think I can do something special down there."
Strengths/Improvement: "I would say my natural ability and natural strength are my biggest assets. With my leg power I wouldn't be half as good of a player as I am. I am not just a big bencher, but I can squat a lot. I had a consistent weight program in high school. I would say my quickness and how I move around the ball are strengths as well. I am going to get on a good weight program. I need to get in good with my strength and conditioning program. I am going to take some diet programs. I am going to eat as healthy as I can.
"That is really the only thing coach Saban told me to work on. He said I am a real good, smart player. He said just change my body, and I could be a great player. That is my main concern. I would like to try to get down to 310-pounds."
Coach Quotes (Head Coach Marcus Wimberly): "Brandon is 6-foot-3, 330-pounds. He has very good movement for a guy his size. He was double-teamed, sometimes triple-teamed and usually defeated it. He loves competition. Some of our biggest games he really stepped up. He is a coachable kid. He has a long way to go though. He listens well.
"He is going to do the right thing on the field. He goes 100-percent. Of course he needs to get in better shape and improve on his core. He is very explosive. He has so much potential. The possibilities are endless."
Andrew Bone says: "Alabama searched to find a true nose guard in their recruiting class and secured Ivory's services. He can eat up a lot of space and create double teams to free linebackers. He is a smart player and has very good quickness off the line."
Richard Stover contributed to this report.
