Recruiting Competition: Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma

Why Alabama: "I basically chose the place where I felt the most comfortable. I knew if I took football out of the equation that Alabama was the place I would want to be. Overall it's a great school for me. Alabama really doesn't have anyone like me. They have the big backs, like Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson. I am a smaller back that is explosive with a lot of speed."

Strengths/Improvements: "I have really good speed, and I can make plays in the open field. I have good vision. I just want to continue to get bigger and stronger."

Coach Quotes (Head Coach Brian Blackmon): "I know whatever position Corey ends up playing he is going to give it everything he's got. Someone asked me the other day what really made Corey blow up as a recruit. The speed has always been there for him, but what people didn't realize was he was just as good of a football player.

"He has great instincts and can really see the field. He uses his speed and strength to break arm tackles. He is also a big play threat. He can always improve on his footwork. He sometimes get stiff catching the ball out of the backfield. He has some things like that that he can improve, but I would not consider it a real weakness."

Andrew Bone says: 'Grant will bring a lot of speed to Alabama. He could help immediately with kickoff returns or punt returns. He catches the ball well coming out of the backfield and can score from any spot on the field."
