Why Alabama: "What's not to like about Alabama. I liked everything about them. I like the facilities, the campus and the coaching staff. I really enjoyed working with the coaches down at the summer camp. They are some of the best coaches in the country. I thought I made a very good choice by choosing Alabama. I love the chance of playing time down there. I also love the academics down there. It was the best decision for me."

"Coach Saban said he is really looking forward to getting me down there. He is ready to get me in the mix of things. They want me to come in to play cornerback and return kicks. I don't know what Javy's [Javier Arenas] records are, but I am going to chase after it.

"At one point Alabama was recruiting me as a wide receiver. I was then offered as a cornerback. Coach Saban offered me at the position, and that's what he wants me to play. So I am a cornerback."

Strengths/Improvements: "I am really fast, and I can make a lot of plays happen with the ball in my hands. I need to gain some weight and continue to work on my coverage skills."

Coach Quotes (Deshler Head Coach John Mothershed): "At the next level I see Deion on special teams and as a cornerback. He has great natural instincts. He's got a knack for adjusting his body to the pass, and Deion's a strong hitter who can close in fast on the receiver. He's also a good cover man with exceptional makeup speed. He just needs to get bigger and stronger."

Andrew Bone says: "Belue is an electric playmaker with the ball in his hands. He can make defenders miss when returning kicks and is an aggresive player on the defensive side of the ball as well. He has excellent ball skills and is truly a gifted athlete."
