Sell-Out Crowd Sees Tide Win

The No. 1 ranked Alabama Gymnastics team brought down the house with another 197-plus performance in front of a sold out crowd of 15,075, beating No. 21 Arizona 197.25-195.100 in the Crimson Tide's sixth annual "Power of Pink" event. It marks the fifth consecutive year that Alabama has sold out the "pink" meet.

Senior Morgan Dennis won the vault with a 9.9. Sophomores Ashley Priess and Geralen Stack-Eaton won the uneven bars with matching 9.9s. Freshman Marissa Gutierrez and Dennis shared top honors on the balance beam, both scoring 9.85. Dennis then closed out the meet by winning the floor exercise with a 9.95. Dennis, Priess and Stack-Eaton tied for first in the all-around with matching 39.475s.

Alabama scored a 49.325 on both the vault and uneven bars to start the meet off. Alabama finished off the meet with a 49.150 on the balance beam and a 49.450 on the floor exercise. After two weeks at home, Alabama returns to the road, traveling to Lexington, Ky. to face Kentucky Friday.
