Being Number One Never Gets Old

The Alabama gymnastics team is ranked No. 1 in the nation for the third straight week and for the sixth week this season, sporting a 197.155 regional qualifying score. The Crimson Tide is also ranked No. 1 on the vault, No. 2 on the uneven bars and floor exercise and No. 3 on the balance beam.

After having last weekend off from competition, Alabama returns to action this Friday at home in its regular-season finale against No. 10 Michigan. Oklahoma remains in second place this week, followed by No. 3 UCLA, No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Florida.

Arkansas is sixth this week, giving the Southeastern Conference four teams in the top six. Oregon State (No. 7), Stanford (No. 8) and Utah (No. 9) make up the rest of this week's top 10.

Individually, senior Morgan Dennis is No. 6 in the all-around while sophomore Ashley Priess is No. 11. Dennis is also second on the floor exercise, seventh on the vault and 18th on the balance beam. Priess is seventh on the uneven bars, 10th on the balance beam and 24th on the floor exercise.

Senior Kassi Price is 13th on the uneven bars while junior Kayla Hoffman is 17th and sophomore Geralen Stack-Eaton is 22nd. Stack-Eaton is 13th and senior Ricki Lebegern is 20th on the vault.
