Shaun Jolly finished his senior season with the greatest compliment that can be paid a cornerback - anonymity. Opposing offense avoided the Stephenson High School star whenever possible, but he still earned 6-A All-Region 4 second-team honors. Not only effective in coverage, Jolly is dangerous with the ball in his hands and returned punts during his senior season.
Jolly puts his speed and athleticism to work during track season, as well, as a key performer in the Jaguar track program.
Jolly is a fast, technically sound cover corner who uses his length to harass opposing receivers. Jolly has the height that Appalachian values in a cornerback and he’s been battle-tested by some of the better receiver prospects around Atlanta. Jolly is effective in both press coverage and in reading routes and quarterbacks in zone schemes. He’s also perfectly comfortable in coming down in run support, which is necessary in the run-heavy Sun Belt.

SHAUN JOLLY HIGHLIGHTS
KEY MOMENT: Watch him break on the ball at 1:49, shows an incredibly quick read and an even quicker change of direction.
APP STATE MANIA ANALYSIS
Jolly is a very quick-twitch cornerback, in the mold of a Clifton Duck, that gets out of read-mode and into passing lanes very quickly. He’s very solidly built and is an effective tackler, as a result. He moves very fluidly, as you can see from the string of returns, and if he gets his hands on the ball can turn it around on an offense very quickly.
