Report: Burfict to enter NFL Draft

Vontaze Burfict announced via his Facebook page on Monday evening that he will skip his senior year at ASU and enter the 2012 NFL draft.

Vontaze Burfict's message reads as follows:

Thanks to the man upstairs and my teammates for keeping me humble and strong throughout my last 3 seasons, ive (sic) enjoyed my experience here and the accomplishments we share, but i am glab (sic) to inform you all that i will be expanding my talents to the next level. Thank you to all the ASU fans that was (sic) behind us during this long hard fought season!! Thank you very much GOD BLESS!

During his three-year career at Arizona State the Corona (Calif.) Centennial linebacker posted 204 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, and six sacks. He was rated as a five-star player by in the 2009 recruiting class. At the end of the 2010 campaign he was the first Sun Devil since Terrell Suggs in 2002, to be named Sporting News First-Team All-American. Entering the 2011 campaign he was on the watch for several prestigious awards such the Lombardi, Angarsk, and Brutus awards.

Burfict didn't immediately return messages left for him and no official confirmation has been communicated by ASU at the time of this article.
