Martin Pledges to Sun Devils

Martin visited ASU last weekend with his fellow Arizona Western fellow linebacker, Chris Young. While Young did commit during the visit, Martin wanted to take his time. On Tuesday afternoon, the linebacker according to a source decided to join Young and become a Sun Devil.

The 6-2 245 Steffon Martin collected 108 total tackles, 17 of those stops for loss in his sophomore year. These feats earned Martin All-ACCAC first-team honors. The linebacker reported a 40-yard dash time of 4.54

"The coaches said that I could be a good middle linebacker in their system," Martin said in a previous interview. "They like my physicality and speed. I try to model my game after Patrick Willis."

Martin prepped at Pike High School in Indianapolis. He committed to Purdue last summer and decommitted from the Boilmakers last month. He has taken visits to Oregon State, Indiana, Ohio State, and Arkansas.

Martin informed Devils Digest on Sunday that he was going to decide between Indiana and ASU. On Tuesday, he chose the latter.
