"I really like the stadium and how it sits between two mountains. Coach Graham told me that they are going to renovate the stadium so it's going to look very nice. I can't wait to get there. I love the uniforms and I think I took pictures in all of them."
Aside from checking out the school and its athletic facilities, the 6-3 265 Dimarya Mixon also participated in Arizona State's Maroon and Gold camp which had close to 200 prospects and was held earlier today.
"Being my first time coming down here I was really able to bond with (defensive line) coach Randolph," Mixon commented. "It was great being coached by him and I really liked it. He said that he likes my speed and how I rush the quarterback, and that I will have to work more on my technique when I get there.
"I think I did well today in camp, showing that I can rush the quarterback. I wasn't trying to put on a show or anything like that. I was just out there being low key and working hard."
In 2011 Mixon collected 35 total tackles for 5-6 Wranglers and had one fumble recovery. He was voted 1st team all-district following his junior season. He has offers from Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse, and Washington State. Additionally, LSU has been showing strong interest in recent weeks.
"I think that I could take some official visits later this year," Mixon said. "I do plan to visit ASU for the Utah game (Sept. 22nd). "But as of right now I'm staying where I am. I really do like it here. This visit showed me I made the right decision."
