"Stanford was pretty nice but I didn't get to see much of their stadium," Lawal said. "There were only a couple of coaches there but we talked a lot and they want me to come back for their camp. They said if I do well at the camp, I could get an offer so I'm going to look in to that and see if my mom is willing to drive me out there.
"San Jose State was packed, it was their Junior Day so there were a ton of recruits. I like the coaches a lot and they're getting a new stadium and upgrading the facilities. I didn't get to see much of the campus but I liked what I saw. I thought they might offer but the first thing the head coach said was they weren't going to offer anyone so no one would feel bad if they didn't get one so we'll see if they offer later on."
Lawal was at Cal on Sunday and said that was a great experience.
"Man, Cal was beautiful, I really liked it there," Lawal said. "I loved everything about it there. The first thing they showed us was the weight room and that was very impressive. I loved their facilities and we took a full campus tour so I saw everything there and was very impressed.
"The coaches re-affirmed my offer so that was nice too. All of the defensive coaches were out of town so I spent time with Coach Yenser and some of the recruiting guys. My favorite part was probably putting on the jerseys, that was a lot of fun and overall, the whole weekend was a great experience for me."
Lawal said he's planning a few more trips later in the spring.
"I'm going to try and visit USC and UCLA over Spring Break and my brother goes to Boise State so I'm going to try and visit there too. I want to do a swing where I visit Boise, Colorado and Washington State.
"I might camp with Cal in the summer and I'll for sure do the USC Rising Stars camp again too. I did that last year and loved it. ASU is probably recruiting me the hardest and I really like them a lot. The coaches compared me to Carl Bradford so I want to check them out for sure. I plan to do all my visits during the season and I'm not planning an early decision right now. I want to go through the process and let everything play out."
