ASU visit exceeds Brady White's expectations

Four-star quarterback Brady White didn't conceal his excitement for his upcoming Arizona State trip, and after spending the last couple of days in Tempe the Newhall, Calif. signal caller came away even more impressed that he thought he would. Devils Digest caught up with White following his ASU visit.

"The visit was amazing," White said. "The first day (Friday) was more about the academics and the campus, and I got to visit with the Dean of the Barrett Honors College. That college competes with the Stanfords and the Ivy League schools and it's very prestigious academically. They have great tutoring and support if you need it, and the coaches are on top of your academics making sure you are accountable that you're not only a good football player but also a great student and a great person in the community. The campus is beautiful and they are doing a lot of renovations so the buildings will be brand new.

"Today I got to see the scrimmage, see the football facilities and talk to the coaches. They definitely got after it, and it was great to not only see the offense but also the defense. After today I have a very good understanding of what they run. I broke down film with Coach Norvell and we broke down their passing concepts, run concepts and how they read defenses. He was stressing how well I fit into their offense and how successful I could be if I came to ASU. I know I would feel comfortable here."

Brady White was confident that once his short list favorites was released that Arizona State would be part of it, and that the school was right now "high on the board" and looked forward to continue the recruiting process with the Sun Devils.

"I'm going to keep in contact with Coach Graham and Coach Norvell and continue to build on our relationship" White said. "Coach Graham has done phenomenal things with this program and will continue to do that. I think they will only continue to get better and go upward. I loved it out here and it has been an awesome experience and it was definitely a productive weekend.

"I'm very blessed and so appreciative of the opportunity I had to get out here. I'm very thankful for the coaches putting all their effort and time recruiting me, and getting everything set up for me (on the visit). The visit definitely exceeded my expectations. I told you how excited I was coming out here and when I did I loved it. I had a phenomenal weekend and I don't think it could have gone any better. It was a great time, and I think me and the ASU staff had a great time together. It was definitely worthwhile. I loved it up here and I can't stress that enough. Such a great experience. "
