Dominic Desouza Discusses ASU Visit

Dominic Desouza is one the most coveted junior college offensive tackle prospects in the 2015 class, not only because of his sheer playing ability but also due to the fact that he is amid-year transfer. We caught up with the San Francisco City College standout after his Tempe visit to get his thoughts on his trip and recruitment.

“The visit went well and I had a good time,” Desouza said. “I liked touring the school and the game atmosphere. I liked how the offensive line is very aggressive and the offense is very explosive. I really liked seeing Coach Thomsen coach them and just watching them play. It was a great game and it was fun to be part of it.

“What impressed me the most is how much time and hard work the players put into the game and wanting to win. The offensive line plays together and I liked that.” The 6-8 290 Dominic Desouza has offers from Baylor, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State and TCU among others. He had visited Oklahoma State and Baylor, and could be adding another visit or two before a decision.

Arizona State is losing both of their tackles,” Desouza remarked, “so there is a chance to play right away. There is a lot of experience on that line so it’s a good situation to come into. I think it would be a good fit. I was hosted by Nick Kelly and I got along with him.

“I visited Oklahoma State and Baylor, and I may visit Ohio State (doesn’t have an offer yet) and maybe another school after that. I don’t have dates yet, I just have to figure it all out and narrow down my schools. I’m probably going to decide in December. I’m going to choose a school where I feel comfortable spending the next two, three years.”
