Zach Robertson commits to ASU

For several weeks now Arizona State has been the clubhouse leader for Zach Robertson, and on Friday the Four-Star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive lineman acted on his sentiments and delivered his pledge to the Sun Devil staff.

“When I went there on my visit I really liked the facilities and the campus because there are a lot of things to do there,” Robertson said in a previous interview. “I really like all the people I met. The O-line guys are a tight group that sticks together. Coach Thomsen is a great coach and he put a lot of guys in the NFL. He really knows the game of football and knows what is takes to be a good offensive lineman. He gets his point across without cussing and in a respective way. He treats his player fairly and has great character.”

The 6-4 315-pound lineman said that in that interview his versatility to play guard or tackle is the trait that is probably the most attractive to the ASU staff.

“They like how physical I am,” Robertson described, “and how I come from a winning program where I played well with a lot of Division I guys and also against them. I like their no huddle up tempo system and they also play hard and play physical. I watched them play against Notre Dame and they really got after it.”
