Senior D.J. Foster has shifted to wide receiver for Arizona State, a move which helps offset the losses of the team's top two receivers from last season, Jaelen Strong (NFL Draft) and Cameron Smith (knee surgery).
Which wide receiver position Foster will play remains somewhat undetermined though, as it will depend on which other players rise up to solidify their standing. Senior Gary Chambers figures to be a prominent player in the group, with sophomore Ellis Jefferson a likely member of the two-deep and potential starter.
Others in the group, including junior Eric Lauderdale and redshirt freshmen Jalen Harvey and Tyler Whiley, have a lot of unrealized potential and will be closely tracked in fall camp for signs of development.
