Video: Lewis getting acclimated

Arizona State freshman running back Jason Lewis is an imposing physical specimen, at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds. How quickly he gets up to speed on the mental side of things, though, will determine whether he plays this season.

After getting a late start to camp due to a delayed academic certification, highly anticipated freshman running back Jason Lewis is acclimating to life as a Division I football player at Arizona State.

Lewis, who measures it at a remarkable looking 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, said he believes he's physically up to the task of playing as true freshman, and is spending extra hours trying to learn the playbook so that he's able to do so.

If Lewis is able to play his way off the redshirt list, it would only add to what is shaping up to be an excellent running back group at ASU, led by sophomores Demario Richard and Kalen Ballage. Both players have been helping Lewis get up to speed.

Listen to what Lewis has to say about the adjustment in the included video interview.
