CAMP TONTOZONA -- A record crowd of more than 6,100 fans turned out for Arizona State's Saturday scrimmage at Camp Tontozona and saw what could be one of the Sun Devils' best teams in recent years.
ASU coach Todd Graham said that due in part to the team's improved physicality and cultural evolution, this is the best the program has been and it is coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons.
"I like our team and am excited and an grateful for all our former players who came out and supported us today, the lettermen, our awesome band was here. I don't think there's a setting like this in the country," Graham said.
"I know we're better on both sides of the football, I really feel like we'll be better in the kicking game. This is the best team we've had, I know we've had the best leadership."
