Arizona State coach Todd Graham gushed over how impressed he was with Tuesday's preseason camp.
"That was the best practice we've had since I've been here," Graham said. "I don't know, for some reason they turned on the crowd noise and they got all cranked up."
Graham said senior linebacker Antonio Longino practiced like an All-American: "He set a new standard, best we've ever had a linebacker here."
Junior defensive tackle Ami Latu also practiced great according to Graham: "He really turned it up."
Perhaps most impressive, true freshman Jalen Bates may have played his way off the redshirt list, according to Graham.
Bates took first-team reps at defensive end and has a dynamic pass rush ability according to the head coach.
