Attacking ASU defense has setback against Trojans

Arizona State's defense had a handful of critical breakdowns and found itself out of the game at halftime against USC on Saturday in Tempe.

Todd Graham is an aggressive play-caller but no matter what he did Saturday with his play calls, USC was able to convert on low-percentage third downs time and again against the Arizona State defense.

The Trojans kept drives alive, or scored touchdowns on third and 5, 6, 9, 10, 10, 13, 15 and 16, with three of the plays going for touchdowns, and that was just in the first half

Here, Jacob Garcia recounts ASU's defensive struggles in its Pac-12 opening 42-14 loss.
