Kilgore College cornerback and Arizona State commit J'Marcus Rhodes was a ball hawk in his game against Cisco College Saturday Oct. 10.
Rhodes, a three-star cornerback from Kilgore, Tex., grabbed his third interception of the season according to the Kilgore College football team website.
Kilgore lost the game 20-12. Rhodes was responsible for two of Kilgore’s points after he blocked a Cisco point after attempt kick and ran it back to the opposite end zone.
ASU three-star tight end commit Jared Bubak and his Lincoln Christian High School squad earned their second victory of the season Friday Oct. 9. Lincoln Christian defeated Lincoln Lutheran High School 58-26 according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
Bubak plays quarterback for his team in Lincoln, Neb., and ignited his offense with a 20-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Isaac Olsen. Bubak was 5-of-5 and threw for 54 yards on the drive.
Bubak threw four more touchdown passes in the rout.
Scout300 quarterback and ASU commit Dillon Sterling-Cole suffered his first loss of the season Saturday Oct. 10 according to the Houston Chronicle.
Sterling-Cole, a four-star quarterback from Houston, Texas, is the No. 297 ranked prospect in the country according to Scout.com and plays for Westfield High School. Westfield lost to Klein Collins High School 24-19.
Sterling-Cole finished the loss going 13-of-22, for 152 yards and threw one touchdown. He also had a 1-yard rushing touchdown.
ASU running back commit Freddie Holly rushed for over 100 yards again Friday Oct. 9.
Holly is a three-star running back from Norte Vista High School in Riverside, Calif., and did not need a lot of touches to make his impact.
He rushed for 140 yards on only nine carries and had two rushing touchdowns. Norte Vista defeated Patriot High School 63-13 according to MaxPreps.com
Holly’s longest run of the night was for 43 yards and averaged 15.6 yards a carry.
ASU wide receiver commit Kyle Williams threw and rushed for a touchdown in Vista Murrieta High School’s 27-17 win over Great Oak High School Friday Oct. 9 according to the Press-Enterprise.
Williams, a three-star wide receiver from Murrieta, Calif., had 68 yards of offense in the first half and scored on a 4-yard touchdown run. Williams also took a lateral and then threw a threw a touchdown pass in the third quarter.
ASU running back commit Tre Turner was the defensive focus for Archbishop Rummel High School.
Turner, a three-star running back, plays for Holy Cross High School in New Orleans, La. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Turner only totaled 19 yards on 18 carries.
Archbishop Rummel went on to win the game 21-14.
Turner competed against ASU cornerback target Kristian Fulton. Fulton is the No. 46 ranked prospect in the country according to Scout.com.
ASU defensive end commit Christian Hill recorded three total tackles Saturday Oct. 10 according to the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference website.
Hill plays for Glendale Community College in Glendale, Ariz., and Glendale CC defeated Arizona Western College 29-26.
Hill, a four-star defensive end, had two solo tackles and one assisted tackle. Hill also applied some pressure and recorded a quarterback hurry.
Marshal Nathe and his Centennial High School teammates defeated Chaparral High School 20-17 Friday Oct. 9 according to MaxPreps.com.
Nathe is a three-start guard prospect from Peoria, Ariz. No statistics were reported about the Centennial offense. But the Chaparral defense recorded three sacks and two tackles for loss against Nathe and the Centennial offensive line.
Cohl Cabral and the Los Osos High School football team failed to score and lost to Chino Hills High School 13-0 Friday Oct. 9 according to MaxPreps.com.
Cabral is a three-star offensive tackle from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. No statistics were reported about the Los Osos offense.
ASU commit Jeremy Smith and Fort Bend Marshall High School lost to Fort Bend Bush High School 28-22 Thursday Oct. 8 according to MaxPreps.com.
Smith, a three-star wide receiver, plays quarter back for his team in Marshall, Tex. No individual statistics were reported about Smith’s performance.
ASU commit and Dematha Catholic High School cornerback Robbie Robertson has not lost a game this season.
According to MaxPreps.com, Dematha defeated Bishop McNamara High School 52-47 Saturday Oct. 10. No individual statistics were reported about Robertson. Dematha is now 6-0 and the No. 4 high school team in the country according to USA Today.
