On the first time he knew he was good enough to play at the next level: "My eighth grade year, winning the defensive back MVP awards at upperclassmen camps."

On moving to ASU and being on his own: ”The environment is great,” he said. “It captivates you. It’s nearly paradise. Everything in the area is beautiful – the living arrangements, the student resource buildings and just the campus in general. And everyone is happy there.

Why ASU: ”Academically, which is the best part, the academic advisors have the best strategic plan and are the most unique in the nation. They also have the Barrett Honor College, which is a school within the school, and the weight of a degree from there is equivalent to one from Stanford. And they have a graduate program for my potential major (Sports Law), and an academic advisor there, Ray Anderson, had great success in the sports law industry. He worked in the NFL, owned his own agency and still has many networks, which is a great tool to have around me.”

On his goals for his freshman season: "Scholar-baller, first-team all-Pac-12, first-team freshman All-American, USAToday All-American."
