Brady White enters his second spring football at Arizona State with his second offensive coordinator.
There are some other differences as well.
White has gained 20-plus pounds since arriving in Tempe more than a year ago, now approximately 200 pounds. He's also wearing a new jersey number from last season, the No. 2 that former starting quarterback Mike Bercovici wore last year. It's the same number White wore at Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California, where he was a Scout100 prospect and one of the West's top quarterbacks.
"I'm just excited to get out here with the team," White said after ASU's first spring session Monday. "I'm very comfortable around these guys. I feel very comfortable around (new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Chip) Lindsey and his staff as well, so I'm really excited to get this season cranked up.
"We're just going at it (as quarterbacks). We've just got to build this team together. It's not about us as individuals, it's about trying to get this team as many wins together as possible this season and go win championships."
