Arizona State's top receiving option from the 2015 season was taken in the seventh round, No. 225 overall, in the NFL Draft by New England on Saturday.
Devin Lucien who transferred to Arizona State prior to his senior season after graduating from UCLA last summer, led the Sun Devils in receptions (66) and receiving yards (1075), both more than in rest of college career combined at UCLA. He also tied for the team-high with eight touchdown catches.
In his final three games alone, Lucien had 21 catches for 534 yards and five touchdowns. He had four 100-yard receiving games in total for the Sun Devils.
For his career, the 6-foot-2, 195 pound Lucien had 124 catches for 1,827 yards.
Lucien is the second player selected from ASU in the 2016 Draft, joining fifth round Cincinnati Bengals pick Christian Westerman. ASU has now had nine players taken in the NFL Draft since Todd Graham became the program's coach ahead of the 2012 season.
