Perhaps the only certainty about recruiting is that there are no certainties in recruiting.

Over the weekend, Arizona State experienced a chaotic 24 hours leading up to the U.S. Army All-American game as the Sun Devils learned four-star safety Bubba Bolden, the top safety prospect in the West, expressed late interest in committing to ASU ahead of his Saturday announcement which took place during the third quarter of the game.

In this week's edition of the 'Sun Devil Source Premium Report' podcast, hosts Kerry Crowley and Chris Karpman provide a detailed breakdown of the timeline of events that transpired prior to Bolden's decision to commit to USC instead of ASU, and explain how the process unfolded from Friday evening all the way up to the moments leading up to Bolden's commitment on live television.

Before discussing Bolden's recruitment, Kerry and Chris provide an analysis of four-star running back prospect Eno Benjamin, who like Bolden, announced his college commitment during the Army All-American game Saturday. A mid-year enrollee who has already begun taking classes at ASU, Benjamin is the second running back to commit to the Sun Devils from the state of Texas in the 2017 recruiting cycle and the highest-rated running back commit of the Todd Graham era.

After detailing the recruitments of Bolden and Benjamin, Kerry and Chris provide updates on ASU's current team recruiting rankings and average star rankings, which reveal a significant discrepancy that should make the Sun Devils one of the most intriguing programs to follow in the three weeks leading up to National Signing Day.

The podcast concludes with a discussion of the ASU basketball team, which split home games against Colorado and Utah last week and now hits the road for three consecutive contests against ranked opponents. A team living and dying by the three-pointer early in conference play, Kerry and Chris explain how the Sun Devils' rotation has been limited down the stretch against Pac-12 opponents and what needs to happen for ASU to turn things around.
