Role model: "Coach Thomas, a coach at his high school. My dad passed away, so I feel like this is God giving me a second chance at having one. He's a great man, a good father, a good husband, and that's something I want to be when I get older."
Best sports memory: "During a game, we played Del City, Del City did a reverse, and I came across the field and I hit this dude, and I hit him and I tore his ACL. I hit him up top and he fell down."
On when he knew he could play at the next level: "I've always told myself that, ever since I was about 10, that's when I started really learning about college and I thought, I'm good enough to do that. So I've always had that thought."
On moving to ASU and being on his own: "I think it's a good experience because I've never really been on the west coast except for these two visits. It's a new style of life, I think it will be a great opportunity for me to meet new people, get new connections and I'm looking forward to it."
Why ASU: "It just felt like home. I took my visit and I didn't want to leave. I should have never left, that's the place for me. Even the big schools like Florida and all of them tried to come in, but home is home and that's where it's at. Coach Patterson and my position coach T.J. Rushing, we talk every day and most of the time, he just calls and asks me how my day went. Me and him have a personal relationship. It was hard to say no to some of the other schools, especially Kansas State because I had a really strong relationship with them too but ASU is just right for me."
