Arizona State's 2017 signing class is the type of recruiting class that can be evaluated in a variety of ways.
On one hand, the Sun Devils signed just 19 prospects, finished with the 44th overall class in the country, and received the program's second worst final overall class ranking in the last 16 years. On the other hand, though, ASU signed seven four-star prospects, which helped the Sun Devils to the fourth best average star rating of any of the program's classes in the last 16 years, and yielded the second highest-percentage of blue-chip prospects in that same time frame.
To provide a deeper analysis of the Sun Devils' 2017 class, the SunDevilSource crew taped a special edition of the "Sun Devil Source Premium Report" recapping the recruiting cycle and providing deeper context regarding the significance of ASU's class.
Hosts Kerry Crowley and Chris Karpman were joined by recruiting analyst Kevin Stewart, and the crew dissected the ASU class, offering commentary on each of the Sun Devils' signees and analysis on what ASU did well and what the Sun Devils failed to accomplish with their 2017 haul.
If you're looking for a deeper dive on any of the prospects ASU signed Wednesday, SunDevilSource has individual player evaluations available for each signee pinned in a thread atop the Devils' Sanctuary message board.
