Saulsberry who stands at 6-0 203 lists the Sun Devil along with Nebraska, Oregon, Washington State, and Colorado State as the handful of teams who have peaked his interest. "I get a lot of letters," says Saulsberry "But I don't even open them anymore. I get like 2-3 calls every night from coaches. It can get a little crazy, but I see that as a compliment.
The linebacker said that he would like to be more agile, but also says: "I run a 4.45 so I'm very fast, and I'm physical too. I play both outside and inside linebacker. When I play outside I just blitz the quarterback and get after him, or just cover one of the receivers running in front of me." The Bellflower High School standout says that he has racked up three sacks thus far in his school's undefeated season. He also plays fullback (only Nebraska and Colorado St. are recruiting him at that position), and he's excelling in option offense amassing five touchdowns. "Teams know I'm gonna get the ball, and they still can't stop me." (smile)
As mentioned, Saulsberry has enjoyed his recruitment so far with ASU, and is looking forward to visiting Tempe sometime in November. He hasn't taken any official visits (or non officials for that matter), and chances are ASU would be one of his first, if not first visit. "I do want to take all of my visits before I make a decision." The Sun Devil prospect will consider factors such as graduation rates and returning players min his position when he settles down on a school of his choice. It should be noted that he is friendly with current ASU players Justin Burks and Mike Williams. Saulsberry is already academically qualified.
