Miller Comes Back From ASU with New Experiences

When a school is located 20 minutes from your house, and your brother plays for the team, one would think that it would be hard for Zach Miller to take away anything new from tripping to Arizona State. Nevertheless, the blue chip tight end told DevilsDigest that he did manage to learn quite a bit from his official visit.

"The visit was a lot of fun," said the five star prospect. "I met a lot of the players, and they were cool. The first night we got there we had dinner at the Student Union. After we were done, we bowled and played pool. The whole team was there. It was fun just messing around the guys. I've never done that before." Miller added that fullback Kellen Mills was the best bowler, while quarterback Sam Keller was tops at the pool table.

"On Saturday, I met with the business department professors," Miller continued, "and they went over the buisness program and the academic part of school. I want to major in buisness and they have a pretty good business school. The academics are probably what I learned the most on the visit."

Zach's brother Brent tore his ACL in ASU's fall camp. Miller mentioned that his brother is on the road to recovery, and being on the same squad with him is something that he's attracted to. "It would definitely be fun to play on the same team as him and go to school with him."

Quarterback Andrew Walter was the tight end's host player. "We talked about him going to the NFL," said Miller. "And he feels that he's coming back to school, so that's good." Miller added in jest: "He said that if I come to ASU he won't turn pro (smile)."

The Desert Vista standout is still far from making a decision on his verbal commitment, as well as the total number of trips he will take. "I think I'll take at least my next two trips to Miami and Oklahoma," he said. "And we'll see from there. I don't know if I'm gonna take a fifth visit. I'll see how the next two go and play it by ear." Aside from visiting ASU, the tight end did visit Tennessee.

Miller added that Sun Devil head coach Dirk Koetter is slated to make an in-home visit later this month or in January.
