Polk's Basket Clinches ASU Team Camp Championship

Sun Devil prospect Christian Polk's driving lay-up helped Deer Valley (Ariz.) edge Cibola (New Mexico) on Sunday night 45-43, and capture the ASU Team Camp Championship.

It has been a rough weekend for Polk who had to miss one of his team's games (in which they were defeated) to attend a funeral. Nevertheless, he did come through in the semi-finals and finals.

In the semi-finals Deer Valley edged a surprising Dobson team 58-55. Polk scored 14 points, including 8-9 from the free throw line.

In the finals, Polk and his teammates had to come back against a pesky Cibola team for a dramatic victory. Polk scored 10 points in that contest, including the game winning shot with under ten seconds left.

The ASU team camp featured 114 high school teams from Arizona, New Mexico, California, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
