"Recruiting is going good with Arizona State," said Will Harris who's listed #18 overall in TheInsiders.com 2005 Western Regional Hot 100 List. "Compared to other schools they're recruiting me pretty hard. I've visited ASU (unofficially) almost two years ago. I like the coaches, the atmosphere…I like everything about the school."
The Charter Oak (Covina, Calif.) standout was voted first team all league in his junior year. He ended the 2003 with 64 tackles, seven interceptions, and two forced fumbles. "I'm strong in all points of my game," he said of his skills. "I'm a good leader and a good hitter. But I need to work on my footwork and getting faster." Harris mentioned that the Sun Devils, along with most schools are recruiting him as a safety. "UCLA and Michigan are recruiting me as a corner, and Arizona as a wide receiver. I prefer to play at safety, that's my bet position."
Along with Arizona State, both L.A. schools and both Washington schools round up his top five. "I'm gonna call the Arizona State coaches and see if I'm gonna visit them unofficially," he remarked. "I might visit San Diego unofficially. I plan to visit my top five schools officially." Even though he's planning all these visits, he indicated that he's not likely to be one who commits early in the season.
When asked what factors will determine his final decision, he replied: "Good program, great coaches and a great place to live."
