ASU Prospect DT Daniel Zynn

The South Pasadena high school player hasn't taken any officials visits yet, but when he does Tempe will definitely be one of his destinations.

"I took the SAT this past Saturday" Said the 6-4 280 Zynn "I should get the results in a couple of weeks. ASU told me that once I get an official score they will officially offer me a scholarship and bring me in for a visit." The Sun Devils have been recruiting the defensive tackle hard from day one, unlike other schools like USC. "I've been to USC on a few unofficial visits. I get the feeling that they are waiting to see what happens with their other prospects, and only then maybe they'll get serious about me." Aside from ASU and USC, other schools Zynn is considering are both Oregon schools and Wisconsin. He has no clear favorite or even a top three list at this point. Because he has no visits scheduled yet, he doesn't expect to make a decision before the end of January.

Zynn's interest in ASU started with his high school coach Ed Smith, who played offensive lineman under legendary Sun Devils coach Frank Kush. Other factors that attract this prospect to ASU are: "It seems like a good Football school with good facilities. I like the warm weather and I like the girls (smile)." When asked about his strengths and weaknesses, the defensive tackle said: "I have good speed. I run a 5.0 in the 40. I'm a very physical player who has a good nose for the Football. As far as weaknesses, college coaches who saw film on me, said that I wasn't coached well in high school told me. They said that once I play in college I'd really peak and be a dominating player."

Zynn carries a 2.5 GPA and expects his SAT results in a couple of weeks.
