"Close to home is important" says the 6-4 340 offensive lineman, "but in some ways I fell that I could go away from home and be OK. But ASU has a lot to offer." We called Lutui right before a scheduled home visit from Utah, who he will visit on 1/12, one week after his visit to BYU. These three schools are is favorites, but he doesn't favor one over the rest. He also has a 1/18 visit scheduled with UNLV. When I asked the lineman on his ASU visit, he said: "It was great, but I had to cut it short and go home to take care of some stuff. The players are a good definition of a team and teamwork. The coaches are real good guys too." He the Mesa high school player said he doesn't expect to make a decision before he takes all his visits.
When I asked him about his strengths and weaknesses, he replied: "I'm very good at pass blocking. I enjoy picking up blitzes, and working with audibles. I still need to work on my strength and run blocking." Lutui carries a 2.5 GPA, and plans to retake the SAT in the middle of January.
