"I wanted to commit, but Coach Koetter told me that he wants my parents to be present and wants to speak with them first," explained Bursey. "So he is coming for an in-home visit in January so he can talk with my parents before I decide to go there."

He tells us about the trip. "It was great. My host was Nate Kimbrough and he showed me around. I checked out the campus and the dorms. I got to meet all of the coaches and players. I ate with the coaches and they were asking me how I liked it. I told them that I really liked it there."

Bursey says that the coaches relayed to him that his written offer stands. He has no other visits scheduled at this time.

He was named first team all-league and CIF. Bursey recorded 105 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries.

He is being recruited to ASU by Coach Carrier and the staff likes him at strong safety.

Bursey has also been hearing from Oregon, Fresno State, Idaho, and Washington State. ASU remains the lone offer.
