Lone Star Forward Followed His Heart

George Odufuwa, a 6-7 205 power forward from Kimball High School in Dallas, gave Arizona State his oral commitment on Thursday night.

"I like the coaches and the environment," said Odufuwa. "You know when you have that gut feeling that something is right for you? That's pretty much how I felt with ASU. I went with my heart."

Odufuwa stated that the Sun Devil coaches like his versatility, and envision him as someone who has the proverbial inside-outside game. He added that his commitment to ASU is solid. "I'm not gonna talk to any other schools or take other visits."

The forward chose ASU over Colorado and SMU. With a self-reported 3.4 GPA and 870 SAT score he should have no problems qualifying. Odufuwa is the second verbal commitment of the 2006 class, following local point guard Christian Polk.
