Sun Devils' Cohesiveness Appeals to JC WR

Angelo Richardson was a former high school teammate of Sam Keller, and naturally the ASU signal caller will play a role in Richardson's recruitment by the Sun Devils. Nevertheless, The four-star wide receiver from Santa Rose Junior College told Devils Digest that he will also heavily factor in Keller's teammates and the relationship he forged with them.

"It was amazing," said the 6-2 196 Angelo Richardson. "I had a great time. I was really shocked at how much team chemistry they had. The love there between the players was unreal. I don't know how they could lose even one game with the team being this close to each other. It's one big family down there and that's gonna be big in my decision, because family always has each other's back other and sticks with each other. You can't go wrong with that."

And then there was obviously Arizona State quarterback Sam Keller and the experiences they shared at San Ramon Valley High School. "That's always gonna be there," Richardson admitted. "We talked about a lot of old stuff we didn't talk about since high school. It was good to bring back those memories. He made his progress and his helping his wide receivers look good. If I come to Arizona State, he'll have the biggest role in my decision. Chemistry between a quarterback and wide receiver is everything. Every school I'm considering has a player I played with or someone I went to camp with. But nothing compares to me and Sam."

So with all this in mind, will Richardson pull the trigger in favor of ASU? "I didn't commit, but I'll tell you right now that Arizona State will be tough to beat." The wide receiver will visit Arizona on January 6th, and is considering Purdue, USC and Miami as potential destinations for official trips.

Richardson collected 1,334 yards on 93 catches this season. He set school records in many categories, and his 18 touchdowns led all of JC players in California. Richardson is a May graduate, and has three years to play two.
