Washington OL Would Like To Decide Soon

Cody Habben knows that this time of the year available scholarships are only going to decrease, and time is of the essence. Thus, there's a chance he may not take all his five allowed visits. ASU was his third official trip and he talked to Devils Digest about his experiences there and recruiting in general.

"It was cool," said the 6-5 280 Cody Habben of his Arizona State visit. "I had a lot of fun, and it was nice to go down there and see the campus, the coaches and all the players. It wasn't hot down there, and it was sunny all the time. It was a real nice city and the team has really nice facilities."

The offensive lineman stated that the Sun Devils offered him a scholarship in the summer and have been recruiting him hard ever since. "I'm also considering Washington, Washington State, Iowa State, and Oregon State. I already went to Washington State and Iowa State. The Arizona State visit ranks up there with the other ones I took."

Two of his suitors are in his home state, but Habben seems to be flexible on that matter. "Playing next to home isn't a big deal to me," he claimed, "but my parents would want to see my games. My family actually has some friends that live close to Arizona State, so that works out real nice."

Habben considers himself very athletic for his size, but admits that he could get stronger. He is qualified academically, but does wish to raise his GPA and test score.

So when does he expect to make his decision? "I'm going to Washington on January 6th and Oregon State on the 13th," said Habben. "I'm definitely gonna take the Washington visit, and I could make a decision after that. I know I'm stretching this thing and spots are starting to fill up."
