Richardson Narrows List to Two Schools

The Santa Rose Junior College standout decided to stay in one region of the country when it comes time to choose the school of his choice. The wide receiver has visited only Arizona State to this point. Did the Sun Devils make it to the list of his final favorites?

"I'm gonna decide between Arizona State and USC," said the 6-2 196 Angelo Richardson. "I talked to my family and I'm gonna stay on the west coast to play college football, so those are the only two schools I'm looking at. I really liked my visit to Arizona State and they're probably my favorite right now. I'm gonna try and check out USC on the 13th or 20th (of January) and I'll make a decision between those schools." Consequently, the wide receiver canceled a visit to Arizona on January 6th, as well as potential visits to Purdue and Miami.

Richardson, who was a former high school teammate of ASU's signal caller Sam Keller, collected 1,334 yards on 93 catches this season. He set school records in many categories, and his 18 touchdowns led all of JC players in California. The Santa Rosa receiver was also voted to the Region I All-California team by the California Community College Coaches Association. The Sun Devil prospect shared his thoughts on the maroon and gold after watching the team play in the Insight Bowl. "They got a great offense," he said. "It would be fun playing receiver in an offense like that where the quarterback passes a lot."

Richardson is a May graduate, and has three years to play two.
