Glass Commits to Sun Devils

Notre Dame (Calif.) standout Rodney Glass enjoyed being recruited by other schools other than ASU, but refused to make any commitment before he took his trip to Tempe. This past weekend he came to the Valley of the Sun, enjoyed his visit, and decided to end his recruitment by verbaling to the Sun Devils on his trip.

"You're the first one to know I committed," said the 5-11 175 Rodney Glass. "I had a good time on my visit. I was hosted by Randy Hill and I got along with all the players. I had a good time hanging out with them. I like the coaches too – they are all top notch."

Glass, a four-star recruit, has been a recruiting target for the maroon and gold for quite a while. Safeties Coach Dan Fidler was the Arizona State coach recruiting him. Glass helped Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks (Calif.) capture the CIF Championship season in 2004, as they finished with a 14-0 record. In that season he rushed for over 1,300 yards and 23 touchdowns on 112 carries. While the team was 13-1 in 2005, Glass' production improved significantly over his junior year. He scored 38 touchdowns, 34 of them in the rushing variety. He amassed 2,113 yards on 200 carries. His spectacular senior season landed him in the prestigious CaliFlorida All-Star game.

Glass chose ASU over Washington and told us that "My commitment is solid. I'm not visiting any other schools." The running back who is academically qualified will most likely play as a defensive back for the Sun Devils.
