"I'm a Sun Devil," said the 6-3 290 Martin Tevaseu. "I had a great visit, and I loved hanging out with the players. My host player was Will Kofe and make you sure you put in that he's the man! He's the reason I'm coming to ASU, and also Jean Boyd (who's in charge of the academics with the football team). Coach Monachino and Coach Koetter are great. The whole atmosphere was great. And the ladies at ASU…man…(laughs)."
Tevaseu indicated in the past that the fact that Santa Rosa teammate Angelo Richardson verbaled to Arizona State earlier this month won't affect his decision. He did however express his desire to play in the Pac-10. Aside from Arizona, all his other suitors (Colorado, BYU and Boise State) were non Pac-10 schools which also influenced his decision.
Tevaseu was named 2005 All-NorCal Conference defensive lineman. In his freshman year, he collected 40 tackles, five sacks, and had three knocked down passes.
The defensive lineman was a qualifier out of Anderson Valley High School located in Boonville, Calif. Due to the fact that he was a qualifier, he will have three years of eligibility at ASU.
