"I'm a Sun Devil and you're the first one to know," said the 6-5 230 Kevin Basped. "I had a great visit there last weekend, and the biggest thing that impressed me were the players and the faculty – that's why I'm coming there."
Basped, who hails from Sacramento, was first in sacks for Florin with 18, and second in tackles with 101 (18 of them for a loss). He also played tight end. "He's just a raw talent with a great motor," said Head Coach Mike Morales in a previous interview to Devils Digest. "He has great speed coming off the edge. He's been playing football only a year and half and has a great upside."
Basped chose Arizona State over Nevada which he already visited, as well as Boise State and Utah State. He had a visit planned to Oregon State on the 27th which he will not take now.
