Post-Visit Report: William Yancy

Devils Digest caught up with the Glendale (Ariz.) Ironwood standout, after officially visiting his hometown school.

Devils Digest: How was the visit to ASU overall and what did you enjoy the most?

William Yancy: "Trip was great. I met all the recruits that came in and I really enjoyed the other guys. I enjoyed getting to know the players and coaches on and off the field the most. I liked getting to speak with them about life off the field, too."

DD: Even though you live in town, did you learn anything new about the school on your trip?

WY: "I learned more about the indoor practice facility and also about the different courses and majors I could take academically."

DD: Will the lopsided loss to Oregon have an impact on your decision?

WY: "No, not at all."

DD: Who was your host player?

WY: "Dexter Davis. He was a great host."

DD: How is your season going so far? What are your stats?

WY: "The season is going well, we're 4-1. I have six sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, a safety, and 30 tackles.

DD: What other visits do you have scheduled?

WY: "I visited Purdue last week, and the ASU visit. None others so far, but I'll set them up later. I don't know where yet. I'll take my other trips after the season."

DD: Did you commit or do you know of anyone else that committed this weekend?

WY: "I did not commit, but T.J. Simpson had already committed."

DD: What is the timetable for your decision?

WY: "I'd like to decide after the season, but before the February LOI date."
