Post-Visit Report: Brandon Joiner

The Shoemaker High School defensive end from Killeen, Tex. visited Tempe officially this past weekend and shared his impressions with Devils Digest.

DevilsDigest: How was your trip?

Brandon Joiner: "I had a great time. My host was Saia Falahola. We got to go to all these different restaurants and eat some good food. They fed us real good."

DD: What position is ASU recruiting you at?

BJ: "At rush end."

DD: What was the one thing that really stood out to you about the trip.

BJ: "I was walking around (on the field during pre-game warm-ups) and people in the stands were holding signs with my name on them. That was real cool that they knew who I was, and showed that they wanted me to play here."

DD: Did the loss to Oregon have any affect on your recruitment?

BJ: "People lose all the time. You can't expect every team to go 12-0. We just lost last week real bad."

DD: How is your team doing on the season?

BJ: "We're 0-4, but we've played some tough teams so far."

DD: What do your stats look like so far this season?

BJ: "I have two sacks, 10 hurries, 2 bats, and a blocked field goal."

DD: Are you close to a decision yet?

BJ: "Not yet, I want to look around a little bit more. I have two visits lined up with Purdue and Nebraska, and I'm have a visit to Oklahoma State is in the works."
