Fan Stories Campaign Enters Its Third Season

The Arizona State athletics marketing office is reviewing submissions for the ever popular ‘Fan Stories' shown on the JumboTron at Sun Devil football and basketball games. ASU fans are encouraged to share their favorite Sun Devil memories by May 15th 2007, as their story could be the next instant classic.

"The ‘Fan Stories' videos have been a big success for us because fans look for it every game," said Becky Parke, Arizona State's Director of Marketing and Revenue Generation. "We've had some great stories ever since we started this program two years ago. The story that stuck out the first year was the retired Tucson police officer (pictured)that was working a U of A-ASU game and cheering the Sun Devils…so we want to continue that and give something for fans to take away with them after every game, and show the pride and enthusiasm for ASU athletics."

Parke noted that in 2006 they received 40 submissions from Sun Devil fans, and that the number of submissions has increased every year since the program began. "The ‘Fan Stories' videos show that we have passionate fans out there and we really do appreciate that passion," said Parke.

The ASU athletics marketing staff will review all submissions. Some Sun Devil fans will be selected to have their story told on the JumboTron during a game this upcoming season either at Sun Devil Stadium or Wells Fargo Arena, or in the summer editions of the Sun Devil Insider.

Fans can enter their stories or review past Sun Devil Fan Stories at: and submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, May 15. Any questions regarding submissions should be directed to Becky Parke at 480-727-0003.
