Four-Star Prospect Enjoys ASU Visit

Lawrence Guy expects to make a decision early in his senior season. Consequently, the Las Vegas Western High School standout started to unofficially visit some of the schools recruiting him. Earlier this week he visited both Grand Canyon State schools, and shared his impressions with Devils Digest.

"I liked the Arizona State visit," said the 6-5 250 defensive tackle. "Coach Cozzetto who's recruiting me, showed me around. I got to meet the starting quarterback (Rudy Carpenter) and some other players. I got to tour all the facilities, and I talked to the academic advisors. The academics are what impressed me the most on the visit."

His visit to Arizona State came after Guy tripped to Tucson. When asked to compare both schools, he said: "I like the layout of the facilities at Arizona State better. There everything was really close to each and at Arizona it's spread out."

Guy claimed that his opinion of ASU didn't change much after the visit, but then again he was already holding the Sun Devils in high regard. "Tennessee is my top school right now, and Arizona State is second," he stated. "I haven't made up my mind yet who's my number three school."

The defensive tackle was unsure about the exact dates, but said that he plans to visit Oklahoma and Tennessee the first two weeks of the season. "I plan to visit Arizona State too, just not sure when," he said.

The four-star prospect registered 90 tackles and 11 sacks in his junior season at Western High School. In previous interviews he listed ASU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Oregon and Arizona as his top five schools. At this juncture, all schools but Tennessee received an unofficial visit from the defensive tackle.
