"It's great, it's been a long time coming," said the 6-5 185 Lockett who committed to the maroon and gold on Oct. 18th of last year. "It's official now. I happened to find a school I liked early on and I committed when I felt comfortable with it. When I visited there I just knew it was the place for me."
The guard tore his meniscus last May, but was able to still participate in some of the AAU circuit tournaments in the summer. "I'm gonna wear a brace this season but it's pretty much 100%," stated Lockett. "We should have a great senior year. We have four guys who signed with D-I school and a fifth one that has D-I offers but hasn't signed yet."
Lockett cited his athletic ability, strength and perimeter game as the areas he improved on the most in the off-season.
In his junior year Hopkins went 27-2 and lost in the third round of the playoffs. Locket averaged 14.9 PPG.
