We spoke with Robert Gustavis, who hails from North HS in Torrance (CA) about his visit to the Valley of the Sun. The lineman was very impressed with his time in Tempe. "I really liked the coaches and the facilities at ASU, especially the stadium…I was also looking for a big campus, and ASU fits that mold." Robert was hosted by ASU running back Randy Hill on his visit. Gustavis acknowledged that he was committed to the University of Arizona at one time, and now he seems as a solid verbal to ASU
The 6-4 255 Gustavis is projected mainly as a tackle, but has the ability to play guard. The first team All-South Bay recorded 32 "pancakes" on opposing defensive linemen, and allowed only 1.5 sacks. He should fit in nicely with ASU's young hogs up front.
