Vallejo WR in Holding pattern

Andrew Green has been recruited by ASU since his junior year, and this last weekend he did enjoy his visit to Sun Devil land. So how come the wide receiver hasn't signed with the Sun Devils yet? talked to Green about his recruiting prospects with ASU.

"I ended up sending my tape late to them," says the 5-10 170 receiver. "Coach Koetter told me he was waiting to hear back on two other wide receivers, because he promised them that he wasn't gonna take any other wide receivers until he talked to them. He's gonna call me later this week, and I'll know then what's going on. If they offer, I'm gonna accept."

Team unity is one aspect that really stood out in Green's eyes during his Tempe visit. "It was a good visit. I enjoyed it a lot. They have top of the line facilities. Connor Banks was my host and he showed me a good time. I really like coaches Helfrich and Jackson." Another positive from his trip was the high level of academics that Arizona State has to offer him. "They can really give me a good education. I want to major in criminal justice, and they have a good program. I enjoyed talking to the ASU professor who teaches that. subject. I liked the weather a lot. That and education are real important to me."

The Bethel HS standout has already visited Illinois and Nevada-Reno. "I also took unofficial ones to Fresno State and San Jose State since they're so close by." He added. Aside from the call that will come from coach Koetter, Green is also likely to have a in-home visit from coach Helfrich. While he's eager to be a Sun Devil, he did convey to us that if he and the Devils are not a match, he will likely go to Illinois. One way or another his school of choice will be revealed in the next few days.
